Select Building Component dialog

Used to globally modify multiple datagroup catalog item instances at the same time.

the Select Building Component dialog opens when Modify Properties is selected and a selection set of multiple building elements is active.

Setting	Description
Select Building Component settings	Complete the following settings for global modification and multi-edit operations. Catalog Type — Select the datagroup catalog type of items to modify or edit. Available catalog types are determined by the active selection set. You can select one of the types or the option "All". Catalog Name — Select the datagroup catalog name of items to modify or edit. Available catalog names are determined by the active selection set. You can select one of the items or the option "All" for a given catalog type. Disabled when Catalog Type `All` is selected. OK — Opens the respective Modify dialog, where instance data can be modified. For example, when a Catalog Type: Structural is selected, the Modify Structural Attribute dialog opens, whereas for Catalog Type: Mechanical, the Modify Component dialog opens.

Catalog Type — Select the datagroup catalog type of items to modify or edit. Available catalog types are determined by the active selection set.
You can select one of the types or the option "All".
Catalog Name — Select the datagroup catalog name of items to modify or edit. Available catalog names are determined by the active selection set.
You can select one of the items or the option "All" for a given catalog type. Disabled when Catalog Type All is selected.
OK — Opens the respective Modify dialog, where instance data can be modified.
For example, when a Catalog Type: Structural is selected, the Modify Structural Attribute dialog opens, whereas for Catalog Type: Mechanical, the Modify Component dialog opens.

The instance data dynamically updates depending upon which type of component is active.
